Timescapes and Spacetours
Firefly is a show of unfathomable depths.  One of the ones I’ve found an interest in is the whole color scheme is a theme thing.  The Serenity crew is usually found in the warm spectrum of earth tones to denote their humble western mentality, while the evil Alliance is always in cold blues and cyan of sterility and advanced technology.  Browncoats versus Purplebellies.
I don’t have much knowledge on Westerns, but I’m pretty sure that’s where those ridiculous pants came from.  The boots seem to have a nice scifi ring to them, and it all has a sort of timeless quality to them, something I know Firefly strove for.  Drawing from multiple time periods and cultures.
